LOS ANGELES, Jan 2: Former “Beverly Hills, 90210” star Ian Ziering has addressed a recent incident involving a confrontation with a group of bikers in Los Angeles. Following the circulation of a video capturing the altercation, Ziering took to Instagram on January 1 to share his perspective.

Ziering recounted the encounter, stating, “Yesterday, I experienced an alarming incident involving a group of individuals on mini bikes. While stuck in traffic, my car was approached aggressively by one of these riders leading to an unsettling confrontation. In an attempt to assess any damage, I exited my car. This action, unfortunately, escalated into a physical altercation, which I navigated to protect myself.”

Expressing relief that he and his 12-year-old daughter, Mia, emerged unharmed, the “Sharknado” actor voiced concerns about the growing boldness of such groups disrupting public safety and peace. Ziering emphasized the broader issue of street hooliganism and called for effective law enforcement responses.

“I have always been an advocate for standing up against intimidation and misconduct,” Ziering continued. “This incident reinforces my belief in the importance of personal and community safety. We must address the underlying issues that lead to such disruptive behavior and ensure that our streets are safe for everyone.”

Appealing to city officials and law enforcement for decisive action, Ziering urged the allocation of necessary resources to prevent future occurrences. Grateful for the support received, he concluded, “It’s in challenging moments like these that the strength and unity of our community are most vital. Happy new year.”

Footage of the physical altercation, along with images of Ziering comforting Mia after the incident, was shared by TMZ on December 31. While the cause of the confrontation remains unclear, the Los Angeles Police Department responded to the scene at Boulevard and Highland Avenue, investigating reports of a fight and reckless driving by bikers.

E! News has reached out to the LAPD for comment and is awaiting a response.
