‘I did it to defend my family’s honor’; Egyptian re-enacts compatriot’s kill

KUWAIT CITY, May 5: The Egyptian, Mohammad Ibrahim, who has been charged with the premeditated murder of the fellow compatriot has re-enacted the crime in the presence of prosecutors and security officers.

Accused murder on his way to the crime scene

The victim is the Egyptian building guard (Zeinhom Zakir) born in 1970 and he was allegedly stabbed to death near a house under construction where the victim worked in the Dasma area.

The victim was allegedly taken by surprise when the suspect stabbed him several times. All the details of the crime have been documented by a team from the Criminal Evidences Department.

Accused telling how he killed the victim

The accused had allegedly earlier told the interrogators that he killed his friend not for money but to defend the honor of his family – his wife and daughter – because the victim allegedly constantly ‘talked bad’ about them when both the suspect and the victim lived in one apartment.

Evidence at the crime scene

He said on the day he killed the victim, he went to the Dasma Cooperative Society and bought a knife and went to the place where the victim worked, maneuvered his movements and stabbed him in the chest until he fell dead.
