Husband’s Second Marriage Plans Trigger Dispute, Wife Takes 7 Tablets

KUWAIT CITY, Jun 29: A heated marital dispute in Salwa took a dramatic turn when a Gulf woman was rushed to the hospital after allegedly ingesting seven magnesium tablets following an argument with her husband.

The incident was reported to the Hawally Governorate operations room as an alleged suicide attempt at a residence in Salwa. A police patrol was immediately dispatched to the scene, while paramedics transferred the woman to Mubarak Hospital for medical attention.

According to a security source, the woman told authorities that she took the tablets after a dispute with her husband over his intention to marry another woman. Medical staff provided the necessary treatment, and her condition later stabilized before she was discharged from the hospital.

Authorities have registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
