KUWAIT CITY, Nov 1: The Hunting and Equestrian Club has finalized preparations for the 2025-2026 horse racing season, with the first meeting set to start on Sunday. The opening day will feature seven races, including Egyptian Arab, local-bred, Arab-bred, and imported horses.

The final race of the event, the Late Sheikh Nasser Fahad Al-Sabah Cup for beginner horses, will be run over 1,400 meters with a prize of 3,000 Kuwaiti dinars.

A preparatory meeting was held with Sheikh Dhari Fahad Al-Ahmad, Chairman of the Board; Sheikh Sabah Fahad Al-Nasser Al-Sabah, Head of the Supreme Racing Authority; and the club’s General Manager of Racing, along with track directors. During the meeting, the official race schedule for the season across all Kuwaiti tracks was approved.

Sheikh Dhari Fahad Al-Ahmad confirmed that the club’s racetrack is fully prepared to host the new season, with all arrangements carefully addressed to ensure smooth operations.

Sheikh Sabah Fahad Al-Nasser Al-Sabah highlighted that the season promises highly competitive races as jockeys and horses vie for top positions. He also noted that Kuwaiti equestrian sports have seen significant development, aided by the collaboration between all racing tracks in the country.
