Houthis Resume Missile and Drone Attacks on Yemen’s Mocha

SANAA, Aug 9: Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthi movement has resumed missile and drone attacks on the Red Sea port city of Mocha, launching several ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles, according to the group and the Yemeni military.

Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said the attacks targeted Saudi troop concentrations and weapons depots in the area. Footage broadcast by Houthi-affiliated Al Masirah TV showed multiple missiles and drones being launched, marking a renewed escalation around the strategically important Red Sea port.

The latest attacks come amid continued tensions in Yemen and the wider Red Sea region, where Houthi forces have repeatedly used missiles and drones in attacks linked to the broader regional conflict.
