RIYADH, Sept 9: Yemen’s Houthi group launched attacks targeting three Saudi cities on Wednesday, using a number of ballistic missiles and drones, the Saudi-led coalition said.
Coalition spokesman Maj. Gen. Turki Al-Maliki said the attacks targeted Khamis Mushait, Abha and Jazan. He said the Coalition’s Joint Forces Command would deal with the attacks responsibly to protect Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and national capabilities.
The latest attacks come amid escalating fighting in Yemen and growing cross-border hostilities involving Saudi territory. Riyadh said Tuesday that previous Houthi attacks targeting civilian and economic sites in Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan and Najran had injured 73 civilians, including women and children.
