Hot weekend ahead in Kuwait with gradual cooling and breezy nights
Kuwait to experience peak daytime heat of up to 47°C and cooler nights with variable winds over the weekend.

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 18: Kuwait will see hot weather during the upcoming weekend, turning moderate to hot at night, the Meteorological Department (MD) has forecasted. The country remains influenced by the lingering effects of the Indian monsoon depression, which is gradually retreating. This shift is allowing a weak high-pressure system from the northwest of the Arabian Peninsula to advance, bringing a relatively hot and dry air mass. Temperatures are expected to gradually decline, accompanied by light to moderate northwesterly winds that may occasionally intensify, said Dharar Al-Ali, Director General of the Meteorological Department, in remarks to KUNA.

Al-Ali detailed that Thursday’s weather will be very hot, with variable northwesterly winds blowing lightly to moderately at speeds ranging between 8 and 30 kilometers per hour. The maximum temperature is forecasted to be between 45 and 47 degrees Celsius. Sea conditions are expected to be light to moderate, with wave heights ranging from one to three feet.

On Thursday night, conditions will shift to hot to moderate, with variable southwesterly winds blowing lightly to moderately at speeds between 8 and 26 km/h. Minimum temperatures are expected to fall between 24 and 26 degrees Celsius, while the sea will maintain light to moderate conditions with waves between one and three feet.

Friday’s forecast calls for very hot to hot weather, accompanied by variable northwesterly winds at light to moderate speeds of 8 to 30 km/h. Maximum temperatures are predicted to remain between 45 and 47 degrees Celsius. The sea will be light to moderate with waves of one to three feet.

Friday night will see hot to moderate conditions, with northwesterly to variable winds blowing lightly to moderately at 8 to 30 km/h. Minimum temperatures are expected to range from 23 to 25 degrees Celsius, and sea conditions will stay light to moderate with waves between one and three feet.

Looking ahead to Saturday, the weather will remain hot, with northerly to variable winds blowing lightly to moderately at speeds between 8 and 32 km/h. Daytime maximum temperatures are forecasted between 41 and 43 degrees Celsius. Sea conditions will be light to moderate, with waves between one and four feet.

Saturday night is expected to be hot to moderate, with northwesterly to northerly winds varying from light to moderate speeds, sometimes becoming active along coastal areas with speeds between 10 and 40 km/h. Minimum temperatures will range from 22 to 24 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be light to moderate with waves occasionally rising between two and six feet.
