KUWAIT CITY, Sept 25: The Meteorological Department (MD) has forecast hot daytime temperatures and moderate nights throughout the weekend, as the country remains under the influence of a receding Indian monsoon depression and a weak high-pressure system advancing from the northwest Arabian Peninsula, according to Acting Director Dhirar Al-Ali.
On Thursday, the weather will be hot with northwesterly to variable winds blowing at light to moderate speeds between 8 and 35 kilometers per hour. Maximum temperatures are expected to reach between 38 and 40 degrees Celsius. The sea will experience light to moderate waves ranging from 1 to 4 feet.
Tonight’s conditions will be hot to moderate with relatively high humidity along coastal areas. Winds will be variable and light to moderate, moving between 8 and 22 kilometers per hour. Minimum temperatures will range between 22 and 24 degrees Celsius, with the sea calm at light to moderate waves between 1 and 2 feet.
Friday is forecast to be hot and relatively humid, particularly in coastal regions, with variable southeasterly winds blowing at 8 to 32 kilometers per hour. Some high clouds are expected. Maximum temperatures will be between 39 and 41 degrees Celsius, with the sea showing light to moderate waves of 1 to 4 feet.
Friday night will remain hot to moderate and humid along the coast. Winds will be variable, light to moderate, ranging from 8 to 30 kilometers per hour. Minimum temperatures will range between 21 and 23 degrees Celsius, and the sea will have light to moderate waves between 1 and 4 feet.
On Saturday, hot and humid conditions will persist with variable winds turning southeasterly at speeds of 6 to 28 kilometers per hour. Scattered clouds are forecast. Daytime temperatures will reach between 38 and 40 degrees Celsius, while the sea is expected to have light to moderate waves from 1 to 3 feet.
Saturday night will see hot to moderate temperatures with variable winds shifting northwesterly, blowing between 8 and 28 kilometers per hour. Scattered clouds will remain. Minimum temperatures will range from 22 to 24 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be light to moderate with waves between 1 and 3 feet.
The Meteorological Department continues to monitor weather patterns as the Indian monsoon depression gradually recedes, allowing the high-pressure system to influence local conditions.
