Hot and dusty weather expected in Kuwait through Saturday
Kuwait to experience hot days and moderate nights over the weekend, the Meteorological Department says.

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 2: Kuwait is expected to experience hot daytime temperatures and moderate nights over the weekend, the Meteorological Department announced on Thursday.

Director of the Meteorological Department, Dharar Al-Ali, told KUNA that a high-pressure system extending from the northwest is influencing the country’s weather, accompanied by light to moderate northwesterly winds that may strengthen at times.

Thursday’s forecast calls for hot weather with northwesterly winds ranging from 12 to 45 kilometers per hour, and a chance of dust. Daytime temperatures are expected to reach between 37 and 39 degrees Celsius. The sea will be light to moderate, with waves rising between 2 and 6 feet at times.

Tonight, temperatures will drop to between 26 and 28 degrees Celsius with continued northwesterly winds at speeds of 12 to 38 kilometers per hour. Sea conditions will remain light to moderate with waves between 2 and 5 feet.

On Friday, hot weather will persist with northwesterly to variable winds blowing at 10 to 32 kilometers per hour. Maximum temperatures will range from 36 to 38 degrees Celsius. The sea is expected to be light to moderate, with waves of 1 to 4 feet.

Friday night will see temperatures between 23 and 25 degrees Celsius with variable light to moderate winds of 8 to 32 kilometers per hour. Sea waves will remain between 1 and 4 feet.

Saturday’s weather will be hot with northwesterly winds at 12 to 38 kilometers per hour and some scattered clouds. Daytime temperatures will peak between 38 and 40 degrees Celsius. Sea conditions will be light to moderate with waves ranging from 2 to 5 feet.

Saturday night will be hot to moderate, with northwesterly winds at 12 to 35 kilometers per hour and scattered clouds. Temperatures will range from 22 to 24 degrees Celsius, with sea waves between 2 and 5 feet.
