KUWAIT CITY, Sept 11: The Meteorological Department has predicted a continuation of hot weather conditions across Kuwait throughout the upcoming weekend, with daytime temperatures expected to climb as high as 46 degrees Celsius. The warm conditions at night are also set to persist, attributed to the ongoing influence of the Indian seasonal low.
In a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Acting Director of the Meteorological Department Dharar Al-Ali said that the country will be affected by the extension of the Indian seasonal low, bringing hot weather during the day and warm to hot conditions at night. The system will be accompanied by light to moderate northwesterly winds, which may become active at times and cause dust storms, particularly in desert regions.
On Thursday, Al-Ali said the weather will be hot with northwesterly to northerly winds blowing at speeds ranging between 12 and 38 kilometers per hour. Scattered clouds are expected, while maximum temperatures are likely to range between 44 and 46 degrees Celsius. Sea conditions will be light to moderate, with wave heights ranging from 2 to 5 feet.
