LOS ANGELES, Dec 11: Reality TV personality Anna Cardwell, known for her appearance on the TLC show “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” has passed away at the age of 29, as confirmed by her family’s social media posts. On Sunday, Cardwell’s sister Alana Thompson (Honey Boo Boo), and mother June Shannon (Mama June) announced her death, revealing that she had been battling cancer.

After a resilient 10-month fight against the disease, Cardwell passed away at 11:12 pm on Saturday at her mother’s home in Milledgeville, Georgia. Gina Rodriguez, the family’s manager and close friend, shared a statement, expressing that Cardwell was surrounded by her daughters, sisters, husband, and close family during her final moments. Sadly, her passing occurred on her youngest daughter Kylee’s birthday, adding an extra layer of sorrow for the family.

Cardwell, survived by her two daughters with husband Eldridge Toney, faced her cancer battle with strength and courage, as acknowledged by her family. Thompson, in an emotional message, shared that Cardwell had been in pain but is now at peace. She described her sister as a fighter and emphasized the difficulty of witnessing her battle with the disease over the past year.

While Cardwell didn’t formally announce her cancer diagnosis, she openly discussed her journey on Instagram and TikTok throughout the year. In July, Shannon mentioned in an interview that Cardwell’s stage 4 cancer was aggressive and terminal. Despite the challenges, Cardwell continued to share updates on her treatment, including radiation and autoimmune therapy.

Cardwell gained fame through “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” a TLC reality show that aired from 2012 to 2014, focusing on the lives of the Thompson family. Following the show’s cancellation, family members pursued other reality projects, with Shannon leading a WE TV franchise.

Thompson concluded her post on Sunday by expressing everlasting love for Anna Cardwell.
