Homes Turned Into Illegal Food Kitchens Busted in Kuwait's Ahmadi

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 9 : The General Authority for Food and Nutrition, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior and the Negative Phenomena Committee in Al Ahmadi Governorate, conducted an inspection campaign that led to the seizure of three food establishments being operated from private residences for the illegal sale and trading of food products.

The campaign resulted in the issuance of eight violation reports for illegal trading of food products, handling and selling food under unhealthy conditions, employing workers without health certificates and failing to comply with general health requirements.

The necessary legal measures have been taken against the violators. The General Authority for Food and Nutrition said it will continue inspection campaigns in cooperation with relevant authorities to curb violations and safeguard consumers’ health and safety.
