KUWAIT CITY, Sep 6: The investigator at Al-Mutlaa Police Station ordered the arrest and bringing in of two unknown persons based on the phone numbers provided by the complainant in case No. 160/2025, titled “Fraud, Deception and Damage to Others’ Property.” In the details of the case, which were narrated by a security source, a Bedoun (Stateless) born in 1988 said in her report that she contacted a person named “M” after he introduced himself in advertisements on social media as an engineer. He deceived her into believing that he knew contracting matters and gave her a price quote to install electricity in the house for 1,000 dinars as a fee, while she would cover the purchase of the devices and equipment.
She continued, saying, “I gave him the agreed amount, and then he sent me a person called 'M' to take care of the completion tasks. She indicated that the person who came to her was doing the electrical work randomly and had nothing to do with electrical work, according to her. When she alerted him that what he was doing was not correct, he told her that he knew his job and did not come to learn. She confirmed that the last defendant and the alleged engineer destroyed her home by installing the electrical wiring incorrectly after the wall was built.
She added: “Basically, the electricity should be installed before the final wall is built, but the alleged engineer assured her that this issue would be resolved, which is not the case.”She explained in her report, saying: “What made matters worse is that the last defendant installed the electrical box in a location outside the back wall of the house, which is against the law. This is clear evidence, according to her, that the defendant does not understand anything about electrical work.”
She stated that she contacted the alleged engineer and the second defendant and demanded compensation, but they refused and claimed that they had done what was required to be done perfectly.
