KUWAIT CITY, July 3: Travelers from countries on the amber list like Kuwait and Saudi Arabia are required to undergo home quarantine upon arrival in the United Kingdom, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting official sources from the British Embassy in Kuwait. This is in response to news circulated through various mass media platforms about the alleged exemption of those coming from amber list countries from home quarantine. Sources confirmed in a statement to the daily that such rumors are incorrect as travelers, including citizens of the United Kingdom, are required to present negative result of Covid-19 test issued within a maximum period of 72 hours before the departure date and a second test is carried out within a maximum period of two days from arrival plus another test on the eighth day.

Sources added most travelers must fill up the public health site identification form for passengers and undergo quarantine for a period of 10 days. Sources disclosed that travelers from the list of amber countries, including Kuwait, are allowed to home quarantine in their place of residence in the UK; and they have the option to reduce the quarantine period to only five days, provided that the result of the test is negative on the fifth day. Sources stated that passengers must shoulder the cost of the test and book an appointment for the test themselves in one of the health facilities approved by the government, noting that most travelers must fill out a form to determine the public health sites for passengers within 48 hours of the arrival date.
