KUWAIT CITY, Nov 30: Director General of the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAAFR) Eng. Mishaal Al-Quraifa recently met representatives of the Kuwait Flour Mills and Bakeries Company and the Information Systems Department at the office of the Director General of PAAAFR to complete the procedures for disbursing subsidized feed to halal breeders through the online service with the aim of facilitating and saving time for the clients.

In a press statement, a member of the Halal Breeders Association Jamal Al-Wusaidi explained the meeting did not serve the halal breeders at all. The disbursement of subsidized fodder still suffers from many obstacles that have not been resolved until today. There is correspondence between the management of the Information Systems Center in the authority and its officials, which confirm that there are no budgets to serve the disbursement of subsidies for the 2022/2023 season.

One of the most prominent problems is the presence of 6,000 fake subsidy cards used in the black feed market, something that must be fought first, in addition to increasing feed subsidies in order to enable breeders to increase the national production of meat.

Al-Wusaidi expressed his hope to fight the fake cards that drain public money for those who are not deserving. He wished for the speedy activation of the disbursement of subsidized feed via the internet and the fight against forged immunizations in order to preserve public money and direct the support allocated for feed to the eligible breeders.
