KUWAIT CITY, Dec 7: An African expatriate sustained life-threatening injuries after being run over by a vehicle in the Saad Al-Abdullah area, while the driver fled the scene immediately following the incident.

A security source confirmed that emergency services were dispatched to the location shortly after the report was received. The victim was rushed by ambulance to a nearby hospital and admitted to the intensive care unit, where his condition was described as very critical. Medical teams are continuing to provide intensive treatment in an effort to stabilise his condition.

The source added that security authorities have launched an extensive search operation to identify and apprehend the fleeing driver. Investigations are currently underway to determine the circumstances of the accident, including reviewing surveillance footage and collecting eyewitness statements. Once apprehended, the suspect will be referred to the Public Prosecution for further legal action.
