HH Amir Raises State Flag in a Grand Ceremony at Bayan Palace

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 31: In the presence of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, a flag-raising ceremony took place at Bayan Palace this morning. The event was attended by distinguished guests including His Excellency Speaker of the National Assembly Ahmed Abdulaziz Al-Saadoun, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Muhammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, Prime Minister, President of the Supreme Judicial Council, President of the Court of Cassation, Counselor Dr. Adel Majid Bouresli, and other senior state officials.

Upon the arrival of His Highness’s convoy, a salute of 21 artillery shots echoed in the air to welcome him. His Highness was warmly received by his sons, members of the army, the police, and the National Guard. Following the welcoming ceremony, His Highness raised the state flag, accompanied by the playing of the national anthem.
