KUWAIT CITY, Dec 25: The second round of the Football League for the Ministries, Institutions, and Governmental Bodies League is set to kick off today with a lineup of exciting matches. In the first group, the National Guard, currently the runner-up in goal difference to the group leader, the Ministry of Electricity and Water, aims to extend its winning streak against the Kuwait Research Institute at Al-Surra Square. Simultaneously, the Ministry of Electricity team, holding the top spot, faces off against the Ministry of Defense, ranked third with one point, and the Ministry of Health team, currently in the fifth position with no scores, competes against the Ministry of Information at the Sulaibikhat Arena.

The men’s futsal league kicks off at 10 a.m. in the second group, featuring two matches at the Kazma Club hall. Kuwait University takes on the National Guard in the first match, followed by the Kuwait News Agency’s KUNA team clashing with the Social Insurance Corporation at 11 a.m. The Ministry of Education team enjoys a rest, having completed their first-round competitions.

With nine teams divided into two groups (five in the first and four in the second), the top two in each group secure spots in the semi-finals. The knockout system will determine the finalists, with winners advancing to the final match and losers competing for third and fourth place. Excitement and competition are at the forefront as teams vie for supremacy in this prestigious league.
