KUWAIT CITY, Mar 29: Upon receiving information about an endeavor to smuggle a considerable quantity of narcotics into the country by sea, authorities promptly intercepted a vessel and found 13 individuals aboard. After examination, authorities discovered a bag carrying around 350 kilograms of hashish, purportedly being smuggled by six of the suspects through Kuwaiti waters. These accused individuals are currently being directed to the relevant authorities for legal proceedings.

As per a security source, acting on the orders of Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, Deputy Prime Minister and Acting Minister of Defense and Interior, law enforcement successfully targeted drug traffickers. Among those arrested were four Iranians, a Kuwaiti citizen, and an Egyptian, who were caught attempting to smuggle more than 350 kilograms of hashish from Iran. The intercepted narcotics, valued at over one million Kuwaiti dinars, were overseen during the operation by Major General Hamid Al-Dawas, Brigadier General Muhammad Qabazard, and Brigadier General Sheikh Hamad Al-Sabah.

Continuing their endeavor to counter drug trafficking and criminal syndicates, the Ministry of Interior's criminal security division, working alongside the Coast Guard, effectively disrupted this smuggling endeavor, averting a significant influx of narcotics via maritime routes into the nation.
