High heat, dust storms expected in Kuwait this weekend
Kuwait's coastal areas to see humid conditions through the weekend.

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 28: The Meteorological Department said Thursday that the country’s weather over the weekend will remain very hot during the day and hot to warm at night.

Al-Ali from the department explained that Kuwait will continue to be affected by the extension of the Indian monsoon depression, accompanied by a hot and humid air mass, especially along coastal areas. Winds are expected to be northwesterly to variable, light to moderate in speed, occasionally becoming active and causing dust storms in open areas.

On Thursday, the weather will be hot and humid over coastal areas, with southeasterly to northwesterly winds, light to moderate, at speeds of 12–40 km/h. The maximum temperature is forecast to range between 41°C and 43°C. Sea conditions will be light to moderate, with waves of 2–5 feet.

For Thursday night, the weather will be hot to relatively hot and humid, particularly in coastal areas. Winds will be variable, mainly northwesterly, light to moderate, at 8–32 km/h. Minimum temperatures are expected to be between 31°C and 33°C. The sea will remain light to moderate, with waves of 1–4 feet.

On Friday, conditions will turn very hot and relatively humid in coastal areas, with variable northwesterly winds, light to moderate, sometimes active, at 10–40 km/h. Maximum temperatures are projected between 45°C and 47°C. The sea will be light to moderate, with waves of 1–4 feet.

At night on Friday, the weather will be hot to relatively hot, with variable northwesterly winds at 8–38 km/h. Minimum temperatures are expected between 32°C and 34°C. Sea conditions will remain light to moderate, with waves of 2–5 feet.

On Saturday, very hot weather will prevail, with northwesterly winds, light to moderate, occasionally active, at 12–45 km/h. Dust is likely in open areas. Maximum temperatures are expected between 46°C and 48°C. The sea will be light to moderate, with waves of 2–5 feet.

By Saturday night, the weather will be hot to relatively hot, with variable northwesterly winds at 8–35 km/h. Minimum temperatures are expected between 32°C and 34°C. The sea will remain light to moderate, with waves of 2–4 feet.
