Hid Car in Stable to Evade Police — Reckless Driver Caught, Vehicle Sent for Crushing

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 20: Kuwait’s General Traffic Department has apprehended a driver accused of reckless driving after he allegedly hid his vehicle inside a stable in the Jahra stables area in an attempt to evade authorities.

According to the Ministry of Interior, the General Traffic Department’s Security Control Department launched search and investigation operations after receiving a report through the operations room about the driver’s reckless driving.

Patrols traced the vehicle to one of the stables, where it had been concealed. Authorities then coordinated with the Public Authority for Youth and Sports before seizing the vehicle and subsequently identifying and apprehending the driver. The vehicle was impounded and sent to the crusher.

During questioning, the driver confessed to the violations attributed to him, the ministry said.

He was referred to the Central Prison, while the vehicle was impounded in accordance with Article 33 bis of the Traffic Law.

The General Traffic Department warned motorists against reckless driving and endangering the lives of other road users, stressing that strict legal measures would be taken against offenders.

The department added that monitoring and enforcement operations would continue to hold accountable anyone who jeopardizes road safety and public security.
