Heatwave in Kuwait gets a humid twist

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 3: Kuwait is expected to see hot weather during the day and relatively warm conditions at night over the weekend, with rising humidity and chances of light fog, the Meteorology Department said Thursday. Acting Director of the Meteorology Department Dhirar Al-Ali told KUNA that the country was affected by the extension of the Indian monsoon low, bringing a hot and relatively humid air mass, particularly over coastal areas. Northwesterly winds could occasionally raise dust over exposed areas Thursday, while humidity is expected to increase from the evening and continue through the weekend, with chances of light fog in some areas. Temperatures are forecast to reach 43-45 degrees Celsius Thursday, 41-43 degrees Friday and 39-41 degrees Saturday, while nighttime lows will range between 25 and 29 degrees. (KUNA)
