Health official sues blogger – GCC citizen swindled

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 27: Lawyer Adel Abdulhadi filed a complaint on behalf of Assistant Undersecretary of Ministry of Health Mahmoud Abdulhadi against the blogger Adel Al-Zawawi, accusing him of defaming and offending him, reports Al-Rai daily.

The lawyer said the blogger posted offensive remarks against his client on his Twitter account on September 9, adding that the remarks were posted in public mode for everyone to read. Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti citizen swindled a GCC national of KD 25,000 after convincing him to invest in a commercial project but disappearing after receiving the amount, reports Al-Rai daily.

The victim lodged a complaint at Hawally Police Station against the suspect, revealing that the latter is his friend. When securitymen called the suspect on his phone, the latter did not answer. Using the information provided by the victim, securitymen have launched investigations to find and arrest the suspect. And, Public Relations and Media Security Department of the Interior Ministry said a motorist who hit a vehicle and tried to run away was arrested by patrolmen. Statement added the patrol team was on around of the area when they spotted a motorist driving a vehicle without the number plate.
