KUWAIT CITY, Sept 1: Kuwait’s Ministry of Health has approved the inclusion of an “electronic leave” service within its “smart fingerprint” program, aimed at streamlining administrative procedures for ministry employees, health sources said.
The program will enable staff in health districts, hospitals, and affiliated centers to submit leave requests directly through the smart fingerprint mobile application, replacing traditional paper-based transactions, the sources revealed.
They said the process is straightforward, requiring employees to enter their details, specify the type and duration of leave, and submit the request electronically for approval by their direct supervisor. The system allows faster processing and more accurate tracking, they added.
The sources noted that the platform will not accept retroactive leave requests and that all submissions will be subject to immediate review by direct managers, in line with efforts to improve efficiency in human resources management.
