Health Ministry Revokes License of Dental Center and Two Branches Over Illegal Leasing

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 24: Health Minister Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi has issued a decision to revoke the operating license of a private dental center along with two of its affiliated branches, after investigations confirmed that the license had been unlawfully leased to third parties.

In a press statement, the Ministry of Health explained that the violation involved the signing of an illegal agreement under which another investor was granted full authority to operate and manage the dental clinic in exchange for a fixed monthly payment. This arrangement contravenes regulations governing the ownership and operation of private healthcare facilities, which strictly prohibit the leasing or transfer of licenses to unauthorized parties.

The Ministry clarified that the decision was based on facts established through the judicial process and supported by final court rulings that conclusively proved the occurrence of the violation. Accordingly, the license revocation was carried out in full compliance with the provisions of Law No. 70 of 2020, as well as Ministerial Resolution No. 36 of 2024, both of which regulate the licensing and operation of private health facilities in the country.

The Ministry further stressed that it will continue to enforce strict monitoring and inspection measures across the private healthcare sector to safeguard patients’ rights and ensure adherence to professional, ethical, and legal standards. It reiterated that any attempts to circumvent healthcare regulations will be met with firm legal action, underscoring the government’s commitment to maintaining the integrity and safety of medical services.
