Minister of Health Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi and Farwaniya Governor Sheikh Athbi Al-Sabah inaugurate the new West Abdullah Al-Mubarak Health Center.

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 25: Kuwait’s Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi, inaugurated the West Abdullah Al-Mubarak Health Center in Farwaniya Governorate on Sunday, describing it as a model mini-hospital serving over 30,000 residents. The project was implemented in cooperation with the Public Authority for Housing Welfare.

In a press statement following the inauguration, Al-Awadhi said the center offers a wide range of primary and specialized healthcare services, including clinics for chronic diseases, diabetes, pediatrics, elderly care, maternity, and dental services. Supporting facilities such as laboratories, radiology, and pharmacies are also available.

He added that the center includes emergency rooms, administrative offices, sterilization facilities, and nursing units, and is equipped with advanced systems designed to ensure smooth patient flow and faster entry and exit.

“This integrated primary healthcare system represents the first line of defense in reducing pressure on hospitals,” Al-Awadhi said, noting that additional health centers will open soon as part of the Ministry of Health’s expansion plan.

Farwaniya Governor Sheikh Athbi Nasser Al-Athbi Al-Sabah said the new facility strengthens healthcare services in the area, which now includes two health centers, reflecting the state’s commitment to providing high-quality medical care to patients.
