Health Minister issues rules to strengthen governance and security in health sector
Health Minister Dr. Al-Awadhi issues rules for unified identity, electronic systems in public and private health sectors.

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 19: Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmad Abdulwahab Al-Awadhi, issued a ministerial decision approving the requirements and controls for unifying the official work identity, seals, correspondence, and digital applications in both governmental and private health sectors.

The decision aims to enhance corporate governance and raise the levels of security and organization within Kuwait’s health system.

Key measures outlined in the decision include:

  • Unifying the official work identity and employee ID cards across all healthcare facilities.
  • Adopting precise regulations for ink and digital stamps as well as electronic signatures.
  • Organizing official correspondence, both paper and electronic, and standardizing the use of the official logo.
  • Setting a transitional implementation period with clear monitoring mechanisms for follow-up and accountability.

The ministerial decision reflects the Ministry of Health’s commitment to strengthening institutional governance and ensuring consistent operational standards across public and private healthcare institutions.
