Health Insurance fees from Jan 2020 to be KD 130, hike in price every 2 yrs

KUWAIT CITY: The expatriates will have to pay more money in the form of health insurance should the concerned authorities decide to do so, reports the Al-Qabas electronic website quoting informed health sources.

The sources said beginning from January 2020 the health insurance fee will be KD 130, which will be gradually hiked after two years in 2022/2023 to KD 150 and in 2024/2025 it will be KD 170, and KD 190 in 2026/2027 per resident.

The sources stressed this will be very burdensome for expatriates, especially in light of the decline in salaries for this category and the high standard of living
