Haydokan Academy concludes the Martyr Fahad Al-Mujammad Cup

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 3: Haydokan Academy has wrapped up the Martyr Fahad Al-Mujammad Cup tournament for amateur academies, which was held under the patronage of the National Campaign for Cancer Awareness (CAN) and the Public Authority for Sports.

The month-long competition, held throughout July, featured around 260 young Kuwaiti amateur players.

Dr. Khalid Al-Saleh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Campaign for Cancer Awareness (CAN), highlighted the important role of sport in preventing chronic diseases and cancer.

He said promoting physical activity among young people helps create a healthier society and improves the quality of life for people of all ages.

Al-Saleh added that the cooperation between CAN and the Public Authority for Sports aims to strengthen the concept of sport as a way of life by organizing tournaments and initiatives that engage young athletes, foster a positive competitive environment, improve fitness levels and sportsmanship, and deliver important health-awareness messages.

The tournament featured intense competition between the participating academies, with teams displaying enthusiasm and strong sportsmanship throughout the event.

At the conclusion of the competition, Famous Academy claimed the Martyr Fahad Al-Mujammad Cup title, while Haydo Academy finished in second place.
