Hawkers on streets selling wood

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 15: With the rising demand for wood which is considered the ‘fruit’ of winter as it is often used in camping sites and other areas during this season, some road pavements have been transformed into markets selling wood including the Journalism Street in Shuwaikh, reports Al-Qabas daily.
Different parts of this street have been transformed according to the needs of consumers – one for cement, one for lorries and another for wood. This has prompted some to wonder whether this street will also witness a market for watermelons.
