Hawally Shops Fined for Overpricing, Missing Invoices, and Labeling Violations

KUWAIT CITY, Mar 15: His Excellency the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Osama Al-Budai, accompanied the Hawally Governorate emergency inspection team on a field tour of several commercial establishments in the governorate.

The inspection resulted in the issuance of 13 violation reports for a range of infractions. Key violations included non-compliance with mandated food price regulations, selling goods above the approved price, and failing to display prices. Other breaches involved promotional offers, failure to issue invoices, and not specifying the country of origin for products.

Minister Al-Budai stressed the ministry’s commitment to protecting consumer rights and ensuring compliance with commercial regulations across all sectors.
