KUWAIT CITY, Oct 2: The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition (PAFN), in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, conducted an inspection campaign in Hawally Governorate that resulted in 28 violation reports, the destruction of 146.142 kilograms of contaminated and unknown-source food items, and the closure of one establishment’s kitchen.

The campaign was carried out by PAFN’s Hawally Governorate inspection team as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen oversight of food establishments and ensure compliance with health and technical requirements.

Authorities recorded violations including failure to meet required health and technical standards, operating or trading without valid licenses and approved health certificates, and dealing in adulterated food products.

PAFN said it will continue inspection campaigns in cooperation with relevant government agencies and take legal action against violators to protect consumer health and safety.
