Harry Styles teases comeback with cryptic posters and new website
Harry Styles

LOS ANGELES, Jan 14:Harry Styles appears to be signaling a return to music, as cryptic posters and a mysterious website surfaced in major cities worldwide, sparking excitement among fans and fueling speculation about the singer’s next album.

Fans have come to associate minimalistic websites with Styles’ album cycles. In 2019, he launched DoYouKnowWhoYouAre.com, a site paired with city posters asking, “Do you know who you are?” Visitors could enter their names and receive personalized affirmations, signed, “Love, H.” The site went offline last February, five years after introducing Fine Line, leaving fans hopeful for what comes next.

In 2022, YouAreHome.Co preceded Harry’s House, featuring an interactive door that revealed images ranging from grapes to Haruki Murakami’s The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle. The site remains live, though its interface is now locked and muted, in contrast to the energy of WeBelongTogether.Co, the latest site many believe is teasing Styles’ fourth album.

The new website appeared alongside posters in cities including New York, Berlin, Palermo, and São Paulo. Messages vary by location, with New York’s poster reading, “See you very soon,” Berlin’s saying, “Let the light in,” and São Paulo’s stating, “A Gente Se Vê Em Breve,” or “We’ll see each other soon.” Fans visited the Lower East Side site on Monday to take photos, with some removing advertisements covering the display.

Styles has kept a largely private presence in recent years. Last year, he shared an extended nine-minute version of “Forever, Forever", overlaying footage of fans with a piano ballad from the final night of his 169-show Love on Tour run. In footage from the concert, Styles addressed the crowd: “None of you are alone. I feel what it is that you create together. This show is what it is because of all of you. You’ve changed my life. Thank you so so much.”

Fans featured in the videos expressed the weight of his absence. “Some sadness because it is the last show,” one fan said. “Then he will disappear.” Another added, “We won’t see him dancing on stages anymore.”

In a rare Instagram Story post, Styles reflected on the tour’s impact. “It’s been the greatest experience of my entire life,” he wrote. “You have given me memories that will last a lifetime, more than I could have ever dreamed of. Thank you for your time, your energy, and your love. It’s been an honor to play for you. I hope you had as much fun as I did. Look after each other, I’ll see you again when the time is right. Treat People With Kindness. I love you more than you’ll ever know.”

Fans are now eagerly anticipating Styles’ next move, with the gap since Harry’s House—1,334 days—the longest in his career. Social media posts show fans sharing their excitement: “Harries, the war might be over… waiting for 3 years for him to come back now, it’s all paying off,” one wrote.

Despite the anticipation, Styles has not officially confirmed any new release. His limited public presence has made even small glimpses of his life notable, including riding a Lime bike in London, running marathons in Tokyo and Berlin, or being spotted at events in Rome.

“When I’m working, I work really hard, and I think I’m really professional. Then when I’m not, I’m not,” Styles told Rolling Stone in 2022. “I’ve never talked about my life away from work publicly and found that it’s benefited me positively.”

Kid Harpoon, a close collaborator, said he looks forward to following up Harry’s House. “What I hope for going forward with Harry is that whatever it is next, let’s not try and second-guess it… Let’s just try and do something new and land somewhere exciting,” he said. “Hopefully everyone’s as excited to hear it as we are to kind of hear it as well.”

With cryptic posters and the launch of the new website, fans are bracing for what could be the start of Styles’ next musical chapter.
