KUWAIT CITY, April 30: The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has started the Hajj registration for 2,000 Kuwaiti pilgrims who will pay KD1,300 each, reports Al-Rai daily.

The registration will end on May 13 and priority will be given to those who have yet to perform Hajj and the elderly. The ministry allocated eight Hajj caravans after obtaining approval from the Higher Committee for Hajj. Each of the pilgrims will pay KD1,300 for services offered under category ‘C’ as per the classification of caravans.

Meanwhile, Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and State Minister for Municipality Affairs Fahad Al-Shuala has assigned Undersecretary Fareed Emadi as head of the Hajj Mission. A delegation consisting of 52 members will travel to Saudi Arabia as part of the mission
