Gunshot kills Syrian teen – Brothers in Knife-Fight

KUWAIT CITY, July 29: A 15-year old Syrian boy died inside a toy shop when a friend mistakenly triggered an air pellet rifle gun, reports Al-Anba daily. The victim was with three Jordanian juveniles and a Lebanese youth in the shop. He was rushed to the nearest hospital but he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Kuwaiti’s death probed: Officers from Capital Security Directorate have launched an intensive investigation to unravel the mystery of a 1993-born Kuwaiti citizen who fell to his death from a high-rise building in Sharq area, says Al-Seyassah.  A security source said a team of rescue men went to the scene after receiving report regarding the incident. A passerby claim the deceased had committed suicide as he saw him jumping from the building. The remains were taken to Forensics.

‘Short circuit fire cause’: Investigation Unit at the General Fire Department issued its final report on the recent fire that razed several garages in Sharq area, and concluded the incident was caused by a short circuit. The fire had started in one shop and spread to neighboring garages that contained highly-inflammable materials.

Meanwhile, fire engulfed a car on Fifth Ring Road. No casualties were registered, reports Al-Shahed daily.  Firefighters rushed to the location in few minutes after receiving information about the vehicle on fire. They extinguished the fire immediately. Investigations have been launched to determine the cause of the fire.

Phone, car stolen: An unknown person stole iPhone 7 from a visitor to an unnamed government institute in Hawalli area, says Al-Seyassah. In a complaint with officers at Hawalli police station, the owner said an unknown person stole his iPhone 7 while he was visiting the aforementioned government institute. Meanwhile, a Sri Lankan expatriate said an unknown person stole his vehicle from a parking lot in Farwaniya area. A case was registered.

Brothers in knife-fight: Security operatives settled a fierce fight between two brothers who exchanged blows inside their family house in Jahra area and stabbed each other with knifes, says Al-Seyassah.

A security source said father of the two youths notified the Operations Room about the fight involving the use of knifes, and a team of policemen went to the scene to control the situation. They managed to settle the quarrel and referred the duo to a hospital for treatment.

Bangladeshi robbed: Two unknown individuals waylaid a Bangladeshi expatriate in Farwaniya area and robbed him of KD 50 cash in his possession before fleeing from the location, says Al-Seyassah.

The victim went to the police station of the area and reported the incident. A case was registered and investigations have been launched to find and arrest the two suspects.
