Saudi youth kills Sudanese expat, 2 camels in Kuwait's Kabad market

KUWAIT CITY, July 20: The Criminal Security Sector, represented by the General Department of Criminal Investigation, referred a young Saudi national in his twenties to the Public Prosecution on charges of premeditated murder. The accused shot and killed an Sudani expatriate inside the camel market in the Kabad area, as well as two camels. He confessed to the crime, stating that it was linked to a previous dispute between his father and the victim during an auction at the camel market.

The dispute escalated after the victim allegedly assaulted the accused’s father. The accused explained that he decided to avenge his father and went to the market carrying a Kalashnikov rifle, where he fired several shots. Two of the shots struck the victim, resulting in his death. A security source explained that the Ministry of Interior’s Operations Room received a report of a shooting inside the camel market in the Kabad area at approximately 6:00 pm recently.

Patrols and security personnel immediately rushed to the scene, where they found that the victim had already been transported by his companions for medical treatment, while the shooter had fled the area. The accused revealed during investigations that the weapon belonged to his father, who had obtained it from remnants of the Iraqi invasion
