KUWAAIT CITY, Dec 10: The Men’s Turf Football League, sponsored by Warba Bank, is in full swing as part of the Third Higher Education Sports Games, organized by the Kuwait School Sports and Higher Education Federation. The league features the participation of 14 government educational bodies and institutions.

In today’s action-packed schedule, the first round of the fourth group will witness two exciting matches. The College of Technology and Aviation will face off against the American University of Kuwait at 5:15 pm, followed by the American International University’s clash with the Kuwait College of Science and Technology at 7:00 pm. All the matches are set to unfold at the Sports City Stadium in the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training in Shuwaikh.

Simultaneously, the Warba Bank Padel League is reaching its pinnacle with the final match today between Gulf University and the General Authority for Applied Education and Training at 7:00 pm on the Gulf University stadiums. Prior to the final showdown, a match to determine the third-place holder will take place at exactly 6:00 pm, featuring the Saad Al Abdullah Academy for Security Sciences and the American University.

Walid Nassar, Chairman of the Technical Committee of the Football League, highlighted the committee’s commitment to addressing concerns from participating institutions regarding scheduling conflicts with the Private Universities League. He emphasized that adjustments were made to the league dates to accommodate teams that qualified for the semi-finals of the Private Universities League, ensuring a smooth and inclusive competition.

Dr. Salman Haji, Vice Chairman of the Supreme Committee for the Third Higher Education Sports Games, commended Warba Bank’s sponsorship, noting its significant contribution to elevating the competition. This year, the bank expanded its support by announcing financial rewards for the first three place holders, a noteworthy enhancement compared to the previous editions where recognition was limited to the champion and runner-up.
