KUWAIT CITY Oct 12,: The Kuwait Mental Games Club has officially announced its plan to host the Gulf Rapid Chess Championship (amateur category for both men and women) on December 1st, spanning two days of intense competition.

Faisal Al-Kandari, the President of the club, revealed that this championship is expected to attract 120 enthusiastic participants, including both male and female players hailing from Gulf Cooperation Council countries, Iraq, and Yemen. The event promises to showcase thrilling contests among the most skilled chess players in the Gulf region.

The championship will take place at the Movenpick Al-Bidaa Hotel and will feature a total of nine rounds, organized according to the Swiss system. The event will be conducted with the full authorization and supervision of the International and Asian Chess Federations.

Furthermore, during the championship, the General Assembly of the Gulf Chess Federation will convene, welcoming the presence of leaders and delegates from various Gulf Federations.
