KUWAIT CITY, Jan 7: A Gulf national who is wanted in connection with multiple financial cases was arrested after he attempted to flee the country through the Al-Salmi border crossing. According to security sources, the man tried to evade capture by hiding inside a vehicle driven by a friend. He was apprehended at the Saudi border, and arrangements were made for his return to Kuwait. A review of his security record confirmed that he was wanted in several financial cases. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the suspect for attempting to leave the country illegally.

A separate case has also been filed against his friend for aiding and abetting the escape and helping circumvent legal procedures. Authorities have launched a comprehensive investigation, including questioning the officers on duty during the attempted escape, to determine whether the incident resulted from error, negligence, or suspected collusion. Appropriate legal and administrative measures will be taken against anyone found negligent.
