KUWAIT CITY, Mar 1: A Gulf citizen was arrested for assaulting a customs inspector at the Salmi port. According to sources, the confrontation enfolded when the GCC citizen arrived in the country via the Salmi port. During a routine vehicle search by customs officers, a dispute erupted between him and the inspectors, leading to physical assault on his part. Security personnel promptly intervened and detained the individual, who was subsequently taken to the police station. A case was filed against him, and he has been remanded in custody pending further investigation.
