Gulf Cables among 4 teams to advance – Al-Enezi emerge winners in penalty shootouts

KUWAIT CITY, June 12: On the 16th day of the Late Abdullah Meshari Al-Rawdhan Futsal Tournament 2017, four teams – the Gulf Cables, the Blues, Holiday Inn and the late Ahmad Al-Roumi – managed to secure their place in the second round.

In the first match, the Blues team achieved their third win by defeating the late Ali Karam team by two goals to nil. In the second match, the Gulf Cables team managed to snatch the top position in the group by obtaining additional three points after defeating Jahra team by four goals to nil. With this result, Jahra team have become one among those that exited the tournament at an early stage.

In the third match, Holiday Inn team achieved a seemingly easy win against the team of Al-Taresh Perfume by a whopping seven goals in order to qualify for the second stage of the tournament.

In the fourth match, the late Ahmad Al-Roumi team defeated Kuwait Credit Bank team with a score of 3-2.

Three matches of varying importance will be played today. The first match will be between the teams of Boubyan Bank and Martyr Fahad Al-Ahmad. The Boubyan Bank team are seeking a win to maintain their top position in the group, as their opponent is out of the qualification race.

The second match will be between the teams of Samra Aden Mills and Fawaz Refrigeration. This will be exciting, as both teams have three points and both require a win to qualify. However, a draw result will be in favor of the Samra Aden Mills team.

The last match of the day will be between two favorites – Libya’s Al-Itihad team and Atom Sporting team.

In the amateur category, the match between the Khalaf Al-Enezi and the Tactic team resulted in a goalless draw, sending both teams to penalty shootouts. The Khalaf Al-Enezi team emerged winner of the penalty shootouts with two goals.

In the second match, the late Ahmad Abul team defeated Sadan Academy team by a goal, rendering it to qualify for the second stage of the tournament.

In the last match of the day, the late Sheikh Khaled Al-Yousef team displayed exceptional performance in defeating Al-Falah team with a score of 3-0.

Today, Al-Ameed team will meet Barakoza team, Atom Sporting team will face Kazma team, and Al-Abtaal team will face Salah Boessa team.
