Gulf Bank wins ‘Affect Category’ award at ACA – ‘I Am Kuwaiti’ commercial delivers message of unity

KUWAIT CITY  Dec 22: Gulf Bank announced that it was recently awarded the  Affect Category Award at the 3rd Advertising Creativity Awards (ACA) event organized by the Arab Media Forum. The event was held under the auspices of Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Homoud Al-Sabah, Minister of Information and State Minister for Youth Affairs.

The  Affect Category award was presented to Gulf Bank for its unity commercial  I Am Kuwaiti, which was produced in cooperation with Joy Productions.   Gulf Bank created the commercial in an effort to unify Kuwait following the horrific terrorist bombing that took place in Kuwait on 26 June during Friday prayers.

The message of “I Am Kuwaiti commercial was simple, relevant, and important; Kuwaitis are one and will remain united as one”.

The commercial was well received locally, regionally, and internationally for its impactful message. It ran from June to July and was aired on Kuwait television stations and released on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and other social media channels. The Advertising Creativity Award 2015 was organized for the third year by the Arab Media Forum, which has proven to be one of the regions most prominent local industry event. The event brought together many ministers, media and advertising executives, journalists, academics, authors, actors, businessmen, and social figures from all around the Arab world.
