Gulf Bank launches weekly running activities and health awareness initiative during Ramadan

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 19: As part of its Ramadan campaign,  “Our Traditions Always Bring Us Together”, and in line with its ongoing commitment to promoting healthy and active lifestyles, Gulf Bank has launched a series of weekly sports activities in collaboration with Mad Cool Run Club. The initiative includes organized running sessions held every Tuesday throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan.

This initiative aims to encourage community members to integrate physical activity into their daily routines and to increase their engagement in running as a key contributor to cardiovascular health and overall well-being. It reflects the values of discipline, dedication, and perseverance embodied by the holy month.

The program consists of four weekly running sessions, held on Tuesdays during Ramadan, starting from the Green Island parking area. Each session will take place between 60 and 90 minutes before iftar and will accommodate up to 50 participants. This structure ensures a safe, well-organized, and community-oriented experience, with each session delivering a message that reflects the spirit and values of Ramadan.

In recognition of participants’ commitment, all runners who take part in any of the four sessions will be entered into a draw to win five valuable prizes, to be awarded following the conclusion of the final session.

This initiative reflects Gulf Bank’s continued dedication to supporting impactful community programs, promoting sustainable, healthy lifestyles, and reinforcing the principles of consistency and self-discipline as long-term values that extend beyond the holy month.

In parallel, and as part of its efforts to enhance public awareness of health and nutrition during Ramadan, Gulf Bank will publish a series of four educational messages across its social media platforms, in collaboration with clinical and sports nutrition specialist Dalal Al-Nakheelan.

Al-Nakheelan is a nationally recognized expert in health and sports nutrition, with extensive experience in developing nutrition programs that support athletic performance and improve overall quality of life.

Through her participation in this campaign, she will provide practical and balanced guidance to help fasting individuals maintain energy levels, strengthen cardiovascular and physical health, and maximize the benefits of exercising during Ramadan in a safe and sustainable manner.
