LOS ANGELES, Sept 29, (Agencies): Lisa, known for her record-breaking achievements both as part of BLACKPINK and as a solo artist, has secured another Guinness World Record. Her track “Money” recently surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify, earning her the title of the first solo K-pop artist with a track to achieve this milestone, according to Guinness. The song, featured on her 2021 solo EP “Lalisa,” reached an impressive 1,002,683,408 streams as of September 21, 2023, and also charted at No. 90 on the Billboard Hot 100.

This latest Guinness World Record marks Lisa’s fourth solo achievement through the organization. Earlier in the year, she made history as the first solo K-pop artist to win at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2022 and the MTV Europe Music Awards in the same year, where she was nominated twice due to a nod alongside BLACKPINK. In 2023, Lisa clinched another record for having the most followers on Instagram among K-pop artists, boasting 86.3 million followers at the time, which has since surged to 97.3 million followers as of January.

Lisa’s accomplishments extend beyond her solo career. As a member of BLACKPINK, she holds various world record titles, including the most subscribers for a band on YouTube (since April 22, 2021) and being the most streamed female group on Spotify (since March 3, 2023). Additionally, BLACKPINK made history by becoming the first K-pop group to reach No. 1 on the Official UK Albums chart in the female category (on September 29, 2022) and the first K-pop group to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in the female category (on October 1, 2022) with their album “Born Pink.”
