Guidelines on shifting LPG – ‘Violators face law’

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 1: Director of Prevention at Hawalli Fire Department Brigadier Khaled Fahd disclosed that Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) has issued specifications for vehicles used in transporting Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), as directed by acting Director General of Fire Services Major General Khaled Al-Mekrad.
He stressed the directorate conducted series of meetings with relevant authorities, including Kuwait Oil Tankers Company based on repeated incidents in neighboring countries regarding transportation of LPG that led to issuance of the decision. He noted the decision will be enforced soon and issuance of operation licenses for the activity will be expedited despite the new conditions. He reiterated violators will be referred to concerned authorities for legal action
