Guidelines for Leave Balance in Kuwait Oil Sector

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 24: The oil sector companies have advised their employees on the need to comply with the regulation on the maximum annual leave balance, which must not exceed two annual leave balances during the year, as anything exceeding that is forfeited, reports Al-Anba daily quoting sources. Sources confirmed that Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) and its subsidiaries are committed to protecting the right of employees to enjoy their annual leave in a way that does not conflict with the right of the company (the employer) to organize the employees’ vacations by the work requirements; hence, the employees should comply with the following:
1. The leave balance must not exceed the balance of two annual leaves during the year, as anything exceeding that is forfeited.
2. The leave balance at the end of each month must not exceed the balance of two annual leaves.
3. Leave days accrued for the year 2024 will be credited monthly. The corporation and its subsidiaries instructed their employees to enjoy the excess balance to preserve their rights.
