Group of 22 expats held for bootlegging

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 14: A group of 22 Asian expatriates was arrested for running a large liquor factory in Jleeb Al- Shuyoukh, reports Al-Shahed daily. Detectives, armed with a warrant issued by the Public Prosecution raided the ‘factory’, arrested the suspects and confiscated the liquor manufacturing equipment. The suspects were referred with the confiscated equipment to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them.

Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti youth was arrested for consuming alcohol, reports Al-Shahed daily. His father had notified the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior about his alcohol addiction after which securitymen rushed to the family home and arrested the suspect who was in an intoxicated state.
