Movement ‘unpatriotic as it aims to distort Kuwaiti image’
KUWAIT CITY, Aug 17: Changing the name of a group from ‘Kuwait Movement against Penetration of Expatriates’ to ‘Kuwait Movement against Marginalization of Competent Kuwaitis’ reveals the fact that this group is hesitant and illusive, seeking to incite disputes between countries, says Amnesty International Member Counselor Khalid Al-Shamroukh. Al-Shamroukh pointed out such group is unpatriotic as it aims to distort the Kuwaiti reputation in Kuwait and the world.
He then unveiled his plan to file a complaint at the Cyber Crimes General Department against the group behind this fake account. He also praised the role that Al-Seyassah / Arab Times daily played in collapsing the group which is keen on spreading racism in the Kuwaiti society. He clarified that although he is against expatriates violating the law, he does not condone anybody who distorts the image of expatriates through fake social media accounts.
