Grace period mulled for teachers to do biometrics

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 29: According to educational sources, the Ministry of Education is studying the possibility of granting an additional grace period to teachers and other workers who work in remote areas to apply for the biometrics process by flexible working hours. They revealed that a number of teachers submitted transfer requests from schools in remote areas after the application of the biometrics system. The sources indicated that the ministry is considering granting flexibility to the leadership to apply the biometrics on them in a flexible manner.

In the same context, the Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education Anwar Al-Hamdan, along with the Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Public Education Hessa Al-Mutawa, the Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs Matrouk Al-Mutairi, and the Acting Director of the Coordination Department Miteb Al-Otaibi, held a meeting yesterday morning with representatives of the Capital, Hawally and Ahmadi educational zones inside the meeting room in the office of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education. Several matters were discussed during the meeting, the most important of which is the flexible working hours mechanism for members of the educational and administrative bodies in schools.
