Gov’t sector can increase staff level beyond 30%: CSC

KUWAIT CITY, March 25: The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has confirmed that government entities have the right to increase their staffing levels beyond the standard 30 percent threshold with formal approval during the current exceptional circumstances, reports Al-Anba daily. Narjis Yahya Abdulrasoul, Assistant Undersecretary at CSC, explained that this measure allows each government entity to adjust its workforce according to its work requirements and its vision for achieving the public interest. Any increase must be formally requested and approved by CSC in line with the established procedures, ensuring that the process is organized and transparent. This move comes as part of the government’s efforts to maintain operational efficiency and public service continuity amid ongoing challenges.
